In the middle of the Bavarian Forest, near Passau, the Hare Krishna community has founded a temple and a community that is unusual for the Bavarian region. Within this community, people living there experience their own way of life, a reality based on spirituality, Indian culture and belief in Krishna. All habits, such as daily routines, prayers, clothing, vegetarian Indian food, songs and festivities, are based on the movement. A central element of this belief is the relentless devotion to Krishna, the path to spiritual enlightenment through Krishna, the God described in the Vedas.
