The floods in the summer of 2024 inundated numerous villages and towns in southern Germany and caused considerable damage.

In Passau, half of the historic city centre was under water, and villages such as Reichertshofen and Baar-Ebenhausen also suffered severe damage. Many of the people living there had to be evacuated and are now struggling with the consequences of the flood.
